How Much Does Rhinoplasty Cost in Boynton Beach?
The cost of rhinoplasty depends on your specific concerns and the extent of the procedure needed to accomplish your cosmetic goals. Dr. Rosenthal creates a personalized surgical plan after your consultation, and we provide a detailed price quote that you can review before scheduling surgery. Can I Combine My Rhinoplasty Surgery With Other Procedures?
For enhanced facial balance or multiple improvements with a single surgery, Dr. Rosenthal combines rhinoplasty with other procedures, such as the following:
What Is Revision Rhinoplasty?
Dr. Rosenthal often performs revision rhinoplasty for patients who are unhappy with the results of nose surgery performed at another practice. The revision surgery poses unique challenges because of the presence of scar tissue that develops following the original procedure and, in some cases, insufficient cartilage. Dr. Rosenthal may use cartilage from elsewhere in the body, particularly the ear and occasionally the rib.
What Should I Expect During My Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) Recovery?
During the initial healing process after rhinoplasty, expect swelling, bruising, and a stuffy-nose feeling (but resist the urge to blow your nose). However, patients are often pleasantly surprised to find there isn’t much pain after nose surgery.
Recovery Milestones
While experiences vary between patients and with the specifics of each surgery, here is a timeline of significant recovery milestones:
- Apply cold compresses: 48 hours as directed
- Avoid taking ibuprofen (Advil® or Motrin®): first 7 days
- Keep your head elevated while you sleep or rest: 7 to 10 days
- Bruising and swelling fade: 7 to 10 days
- Return to school, work, and nonstrenuous activities: 10 to 14 days
- Resume lifting, bending, and strenuous activities: 3 weeks
- Safe to gently blow your nose: 6 weeks
- See improvements: 3 months
- Final results: 6 to 12 months
Follow your post-op instructions carefully to avoid complications and achieve optimal results. Feel free to contact our office with concerns or questions while you recover.
Rhinoplasty FAQ
Is rhinoplasty surgery safe?
Rhinoplasty is considered safe when performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience performing the procedure. Rhinoplasty is considered one of the most technically demanding plastic surgery procedures, so it’s important to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon who is very familiar with the procedure and the nose’s delicate anatomy.
What’s the best age to get a nose job?
There is no age that is “best” for having a nose job. It’s important to have a clear understanding of your possible results before having the surgery. Teenagers can have the surgery once their noses have fully developed, which is about 15 for girls and 17 for boys.
Will my results be permanent?
Results last indefinitely as long as there is no trauma to the nose. The nose will change with aging but not significantly.
Am I too old to get a rhinoplasty?
If you are in good physical health and would like to improve the appearance and/or function of your nose, you are likely a good candidate for rhinoplasty.
How do I know if I need a rhinoplasty revision?
If it’s been at least a year since your original nose surgery and you are unhappy with the way your nose looks or functions, it’s time to meet with Dr. Rosenthal for a consultation.
